LGF exposes Reuter’s picture as manipulated

In yet another scandal which is shaking trust in the mainstream media, Little Green Footballs broke a story on how a Reuter’s picture–depicting Beirut after an Israeli attack–as doctored (in “Reuters Doctoring Photos from Beirut?”, also covered in “The worst photoshop I’ve ever seen” by AllahPundit of Hot Air, with prompted ). This has been a major victory for the non-mainstream media (blogs) and highlights once again why skepticism regarding the mainstream media is warranted. It is also quite refreshing to see a fellow blog on the dexteroblogosphere being credited by the media for this exposure. (YnetNews also has an article on a death threat made to Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs some time ago from a Reuters IP address: “Reuters employee issues ‘Zionist pig’ death threat” by Yaakov Lappin.)
