Note to Democrats

November 8, 2006 at 8:56 pm (Iraq, Middle East, Military, The Left, The Right, The United States, US Government, War)

To the Democrats:

Congratulations on your gains. There is one thing you must realize, which you must remember. The war in Iraq is as much your war as it is our war. The Armed Forces of The United States do not belong to The Republican Party or to you; they belong to The United States and to their people. As such, every military engagement is done for the sake of The United States, not for any party or politician or government or administration.

Be honorable in this issue. Do not disappoint the American people. Do not betray The United States’ Armed Forces. Be strong and patient. Remember, this is your war also. Its outcome will reflect on you as well.

If you fail, you may remain and survive for a season or two. But history will not be so forgiving. It will haunt and hound you relentlessly, forever inscribing your names onto the plaque of shame for all peoples and generations to read and scorn. Your names will become a hiss and a byword.

Be wise.

I wish this were true, but so far, the history books are literally being written by Lefties, as is the “first draft” of history in the media.

The Left and the Dems pulled the funding from South Vietnam, causing the nascent government to fall. All those who had supported a democratic SV were immediately slaughtered, and millions more were exterminated when the Communists took over the peninsula. No one except the folks on the dextrosphere puts the blood of those people on the hands of the Dems.

Of course, the South Vietnamese and Pol Pot didn’t have the intent to rule the world and destroy the US in the process. But the abandonment of our allies was still one of the most shameful events in recent US history, and as we’ve seen, Nasrallah fantasizes about a repeat of that event.

However, the history books still carry that old John Kerry meme that the Vietnam war produced psychopaths and psychotics. All the war movies assert it. And they still crow that it was the noble efforts of the hyper-moral war protesters that led to the end of an unquestionably immoral war waged by bloodthirsty killers and heartless industrialists. It wasn’t until recently that I learned that the Vietnam lies were in fact lies. Most Americans don’t know that they’ve been had by the 60s generation in this regard.

Maybe we conservatives should be bringing up the Vietnam thing again, but this time the principal image should be the helicopter evacuating desperate people from the roof of the embassy. The killing fields that followed need to be emphasized. The potential disaster to our Iraqi allies should be the focus.

(Note: This extremely famous photo showed up only three times in a Google Image search for “saigon helicopter embassy”.)

Mate, have you just asked the Democrats to be honorable? Isn’t a honorable Democrat an oxymoron?

Oh, and about not betraying the United States’ Armed Forces… too late. Amsoc has betrayed the army long ago – and has now never supported them in the first place. To believe anything else is a thoughtcrime.

What expects USA now is an orgy of Orwellian insanity, doublespeak, wild accusations, even MORE seething hatred at Bush, cutting the funding for the military to nothing, etc.

You can start saying the requiem for the Iraqi people right about now… because they are soon to be abandoned for the inevitable slaughter. And that’ll be just the beginning – the beginning of a nuclear Middle East, nuclear North Korea… the Apocalypse.
