Hamas threatens to attack Israeli schools, hospitals, universities

July 3, 2006 at 3:18 am (Islamism, Israel, Middle East, Military, Palestinian Territories)

According to “Hamas threatens Israeli infrastructure” by Khaled Abu Toameh in Ramallah, in The Jerusalem Post (emphasis added):

Meanwhile, Hamas’s armed wing, Izaddin al-Kassam, on Sunday threatened to attack infrastructure facilities inside Israel, including schools, hospitals and universities. The threat, the first of its kind since Hamas won the parliamentary election last January, was issued in response to continued Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip.

Let me point out one thing that should be clear: every single target Israel has struck thus far as had operational significance for the Gaza terrorists. Israel has been striking terrorist targets in Gaza, which includes schools (indoctrination centers?) run by Hamas (an ultra-Islamist terrorist organization, remember), training camps, weapons factories, and so on.

This is a far cry from Hamas’s intended targets: targets used by civilians, targets with no operational significance for Israel’s Armed Forces. Schools and hospitals, for crying out loud?

These members of Hamas aren’t people. They’re animals. And woe be unto them if they strike as they have threatened, for then may Israel rain fire from the sky upon their heads and may Israel execute every single one of their terrorist politicians and leaders, especially Mash’aal.

I swear, if the Palestinian terrorists strike any such target, I declare they will have forfeited their humanity.

I am very, very, very upset with them.

Gotta wonder if the Hamas leadership is working for Mossad…they do everything in their power to bring about their own doom.

These people are flat out batshit crazy.

You are most probably aqquainted with Mossad’s motto: By Way of deception we shall make war.
Purple does not know how right one can be. The late (murdered by Israelis) Sheik Yacin was caught smuggling explosives into Israel and was then convicted to life.
But he was later released to create Hamas to disrupt PLO. Go figure.

Very interesting theory, Joshua. Thank you for sharing it.

For what it is worth, Wikipedia’s article on Ahmed Yasin states that Hamas was created in 1987 by ash-Sheikh Ahmad Yaaseen and ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ar-Ranteesee. Yaaseen was arrested in 1989. “Israel accused Yassin of ordering the execution of two captured Israeli soldiers, a crime for which he was arrested, convicted, and sentenced to life imprisonment by an Israeli military court.”

In 1997, he was released by Israeli authorities for the release of two Mossad agents detained in Jordan who poisoned Khaalid Masha’al. At that time, Yaaseen reassumed the leadership of Hamaas.

In March, 2004, Yaaseen was killed (thank goodness) by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) after a botched attempt in 2003. Ar-Ranteesee replaced Yaaseen, but ar-Ranteesee was “dismissed” by Israel in April, 2004.

This shows the difference in the Israelis and Hamas, who are terrorists. The Israelis who not targete innocents, terrorists do. One has to ask ‘why’ Hamas took Cpl. Gilad Shalit captive (not kidnapped) in the first place. They HAD to know what Israel’s response would be.
