They keep making demands? Hamas is insane.

July 1, 2006 at 6:20 am (Islamism, Israel, Middle East, Palestinian Territories)

I find it almost amusing that the Palestinian terrorists continue to place conditions on the return of Cpl. Gilad Shalit.

Sidenote: I have always held Hamas to be a terrorist organization. Just because they were elected into office does not change this fact. Along that note, there has yet to arise a non-terrorist entity to lead the Palestinians. The Palestinian Liberation Organization is a terrorist organization. Fatah, allied with it, is a terrorist organization. Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and all the others in the same vein are all terrorist organizations. As leader of Fatah, Mahmoud Abbas is also a terrorist although, I do hate to say it, he’s a terrorist we can do business with. Meaning: he’s the most moderate or pragmatic of the terrorist leaders. Until a non-terrorist and non-militant entity arises to lead the Palestinians, I refuse to recognize the permissability of the Palestinian government to act as a government amongst other governments in the international arena. Until such a time, I continue to view the Palestinian government as being a rogue government, made up of criminal elements, made up of terrorists, who are fair game to be arrested, detained, and even executed if need be for the greater security of the region.

The Palestinians need to realize that Israel will not give in to any conditions. They want the unconditional return of Cpl. Shalit. To imagine that Israel will concede any condition is utterly ridiculous. As much as Israel wants the return of Cpl. Shalit, Israel will never concede to any of the terrorists’ demands. To do so would be to usher in the beginning of a wave of kidnappings and abductions for terrorist demands to be met. Israel is smarter than that.

I hope the Palestinians crack soon. On the one hand, doing so would put an end to this dire strike against Palestinians, allowing them to begin to rebuild. On the other hand, there are yet many targets to take out – training camps, terrorist schools, terrorists (especially Mash’aal), weapons factories, and so on.

And for the record, as far as I am concerned, Israel did not “kidnap” members of Hamas: Israel arrested and detained terrorists who were continuing to act against the national security, stability, and integrity of Israel.

they make demands cuz the UN, the EU, and even the US, has forced them into it.

A shame that we have allowed the battle of the islamic bulge, become almost indeffensible.

They’re like Hitler moving around non-existent divisions on his map while the Russians were only a mile away. They don’t realize:

    The. Game. Is. Over.

I’ve always found that image to be very sad. Hitler moving around and ordering divisions that don’t exist. But it fits very well with what Hamas is doing: thinking it has leverage when, in actuality, it has none.
