Deaths on a Palestinian beach: Did Israel or Palestine do it?

June 13, 2006 at 6:05 am (Israel, Middle East, Palestinian Territories, The Left, The Media)

From Hyscience, Unlikely That IDF Shell Killed Palestinians On Beach. (Story by The Jerusalem Post: “Report: Chances slim that IDF shell killed Gazans on beach.”)

An excerpt from the article by The Jerusalem Post (emphasis mine):

The leading theory currently entertained, suggested that an explosive charge, buried by Palestinians on the Gaza beach to prevent Israeli infiltration, was behind the explosion.

So it could be that Palestinians, once again, are responsible for the deaths of Palestinians, but then blamed on Israel. And this is not the first time this happened.

This explains why I really don’t accept at face value any accusation by Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, or Lefists against Israel, Israelis, Jews, or the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). I want to wait until something with facts is released.

I am very disappointed with the media, though, for running with the Palestinian version before anything could be verified. (But then, for many in the media, and especially for the Left, facts really don’t matter.)
