Make Love, Not Terror
An Israeli advertisement: make love, not terror. Quite amusing.
The Hebrew: ‘asu ahavah, lo teror. Make love, not terror(ism).
The Arabic: na’am li-l-Hubb, laa li-irhaab. Yes to love, no to terrorism.
innaa naHnu-l-a’lam.

Hey, welcome to the WordPress family! I’ve been meaning to ask you what does “innaa naHnu-l-a’lam” mean?

Thanks for stopping by!
“innaa naHnu-l-a’lam” is a parody of sorts on a phrase that is commonly used by Muslims. At the end of articles, and especially explanations of Islamic law and doctrine, they’ll write “wa innaa-llaahu-l-a’lam” which means “and indeed God knows best.” Sort of their way of saying that what they have written is to the best of what they know, but only God knows for sure. I turn it around. “innaa naHnu-l-a’lam” means “indeed we know best.”

I’d love to make a T-Shirt with that on it. Is there any way you could get the arabic characters to print on here, or a picture of them? I was thinking of a picture of a dead terrorist and that logo.
